According to the calendar, summer is “officially” here. According to the temperature, summer has been here for a couple of weeks!!! Action on the courts has slowed down somewhat because of the heat and members having returned home or traveling. However, that doesn’t mean that things have come to a complete stop.
We have been busy preparing for next season. The schedule of our monthly member events and the Fall Master Schedule have been set and ready to be printed. Both include some new and exciting additions. Improvements to the facility include safety guards being installed on all of our low fences and new concrete pads off of Centre Court in order to get the furniture off the court surface. This allows us to groom the courts more efficiently and keep the mold and mildew at bay.
The Firecracker 500 is coming up on July 3. If you have not signed up, please give us a call at the Pro Shop at 444-1178.

Saturday, July 3, 9:00 to 11:00
The Firecracker 500 is a fast paced, change partners, five round event. If you win, you remain on the court. If you lose, you sit down and a new team comes on to challenge the winners. The male and female with the highest number of games wins the event. Strawberries and Cream will be served to celebrate the Wimbledon Championships!

Men's and Women's 3.0 and 3.5 Round Robins every Wednesday (Women), and Thursday (Men) starting June 2nd until September 2, 2010. More
