Just a reminder and/or information regarding play on the Har-Tru Tennis Courts at Palmira Golf and Country Club:

  • Proper tennis attire is required. Gentlemen must wear shirts with sleeves. T-shirts are not permitted. Warm-ups and sweat shirts are allowed in colder weather.
  • Proper footwear is required. Basketball sneakers, running shoes, hiking boots, sandals, or flip-flopps are prohibited. Tennis sneakers with a herringbone pattern are the only shoes that will not damage the surface which is only ½ inch thick.
  • Reservations may be made up to 1 week in advance.
  • Courts are reserved in 1½ hour increments. Please make every effort to book courts in allotted time frames in order to make maximum use of our court time, especially in season.
  • All players are required to register in the Pro Shop before play. Staff will advise as to court assignments upon registration and as to which may be closed or under repair.
  • Please place all trash in provided containers.
  • Smoking is prohibited in and around the tennis facility.
  • No other games other than tennis are to be played on the courts
  • Racket throwing and profanity are strictly forbidden.
  • Cell phones should remain off or on vibrate while on the courts.
  • Please avoid cutting across a groomed court in order to get to your assigned court.
  • Maintenance of the courts should only be done by the staff. I appreciate the thought, but you can do more harm than good.
  • Play or No Play…..How to Tell. After a rain, if you rub off a small area of the top surface of the court and you see water coming to the surface, the courts are not playable.
  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, etc. are not allowed on the courts.

Thanks for helping to keep our courts the finest in southwest Florida.
